We had a lot of fun on our quick trip to see Grandma and Grandpa. As you can see, the girls both got dolls from them. Jack was a little shy. He wasn't too sure.

This is Jennifer. She was Jack's Physical Therapist until a few months ago. She moved on to greener pastures. She was definitely a favorite. Jack loved her, and she helped him so much!

This was our attempt at a family picture. Josh was entering a contest, and they wanted a family picture for some reason. All five of us are trying to sit on our piano stool. Jack is obsessed with Ella. He is either laughing at her or trying to get her out of his way. They are definitely going to have some battles!

4 Month Update

Okay, Okay!! I'm back. I'll try to update what we've done for the last 4 months in the next few days. So much has happened, especially with Jack. He is now crawling thanks to all of our great therapists:) He turned two on Monday. We were hoping he'd be walking by then, but we'll take what we can get. We are so proud of how far he has come! Anyway, here are a few pictures to catch us up. I'll try to do better keeping it updated.

The kids are getting so big. I can't believe Taylor will be 7 before the end of the year!

Josh was attempting to get a good picture of himself for facebook. The rest of us just use pictures that we already have, but not Josh:)

Even after I've said I'd never do it again, we attempted another garage sale. The girls had their own lemonade stand. They lasted for at least 15 minutes:)

I walked in the kitchen the other day and started looking around for Jack. I couldn't find him anywhere - usually he's crawling around on the floor. I looked over at the window, and there he was!! He had pulled himself up so he could look out. He likes to be up where he can see things. We're pretty excited about his accomplishments!

Jack's Tricks

Now, he is doing really well now pulling himself up. He stands in bed and looks out his door to see if he can see someone...anyone... that will come get him.

He is really doing well standing at the couch and chairs. He wants to be up so he can see everything.

Someone sent me pictures not long ago. I couldn't figure out who this baby was. I knew I had seen her somewhere before, but I couldn't figure out who it might be. As I looked at the pictures further, I found that it was my own Ella!! I need to look back at my pictures more often:)

These pictures were from Halloween one year. We hadn't dressed the girls up so one of the ladies from church came up with this gypsy look for Taylor.

Christmas at Our House

This first picture isn't the greatest, but I wanted you to see Josh coming in as Santa Clause. He was ringing bells to get the girls out of bed and saying "Ho, Ho, Ho." The girls were really funny about the whole thing. They think Josh is so funny! And then there's Jack. He wasn't really sure what was going on.

Taylor's Birthday Party

Taylor shared a birthday party with Claire. We went to Chuck E. Cheese with a Costco cake and invited all their Bible class friends. We had a great turn out.

I Know It's Been Forever...

I'm going to try to catch up for the last three months I've missed. Some of it is that I've been lazy about doing this, but also a lot has happened during this time. I will try to catch you up a little at a time. I will start back in December and catch you up in the next few days - hopefully.

Yesterday, I went to check on Jack in his bed and there he was - sitting up playing in his bed!! He can FINALLY sit himself up!! Even though I wanted him asleep, I was pretty excited!

I know - I'm way behind. These are just some pictures of Thanksgiving at Mom's. The girls had tea party. They put so much sugar in the tea, I'm surprised they could even drink it!
But, as you can see we licked it clean.

I enjoyed making this cake for Jack. It turned out better than I expected thanks to friends of mine who have all the tools needed!!

I think the girls had way more fun than Jack. They opened his gifts for him - with the help of their cousin Kate. I think she thought it was her birthday!

Our Newest Toy

The girls have really enjoyed this! We got it at an auction. When we arrived, I started looking around for the auctioneer and any equipment that they might bring with them. While we were waiting, the owner, a lady in her late 40s, walked up to a piece of furniture and said, "okay, who'll give me $1 for this. Anybody give $2? Okay, sold for $1." The whole "auction" was like this. It was kind of amusing. Anyway, we walked away with this bargain. We can't wait for the girls to have some friends over to jump with them. They beg every day for us to set it up. Of course, Josh has all kinds of rules to follow - no shoes, no sharp objects, no water, etc.
This looks painful, but she was laughing when she got up.

Jack liked the swing. He wasn't sure at first, but he finally relaxed and almost went to sleep. If he had had someone to hold his head up, I think he would have.
The girls really enjoy this tire swing. That was always my least favorite thing to play on. I always got sick on it!!
Here's Taylor doing her acrobatics. This is the way I used to play on my swing set. I would climb to the top of the swing set and hang upside down.

Taylor is now riding with just two wheels!! She loves it. She caught on very quickly. Josh did a great job teaching her. The only problem is she is always begging one of us to go outside with her so she can ride. She and Josh (with Ella attached) went for a long ride the other day. I haven't gotten to go yet. It seems that I have an attachment too that is too lazy to sit up!! Oh well. It will happen soon enough:)
This picture looked so sweet. I'm not sure why. Maybe because all I can see is the back side and can't hear her saying, "Mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, etc."
Ella wants to do everything Taylor does. Hopefully that means she will ride a bike without training wheels soon too. We'll see. I'm thinking she's more like - oh, probably Christi. I think it will take a little longer. Sorry Tris:)

I can't believe it, but Ella is already 3!! She is full of personality. Her sweet smile makes all the bad times go away.

A friend of mine sent us some clothes for the girls (and Jack). Even though they are all too big for Ella, she has tried them all on. This is a hat that Josh tried on thinking he could make it fit him! The rest of us can just look at the hat and tell it won't fit:-)

Taylor's Tooth

Taylor lost her first tooth last Thursday. She was eating an apple with her side teeth and it fell out!

She has a "tooth fairy pillow" that she got for Christmas. She was so excited to put her tooth in the little pocket. As Josh was putting them in bed, he wanted Taylor to put the pillow under her pillow. She said she didn't want to. Then, he suggested she hang it from her bedpost. She also came back with a "no." Josh asked her why. She said, "I want to hang it on the door. That way you and Mom don't have to come in my room to get it." Josh told me later that he must have been the most naive kid that ever was because he was older when he lost his first tooth and he believed in the tooth fairy. To tell you the truth, I think he still does:)
Ella wanted her picture taken too since Taylor got hers taken.

...and around! I'm not sure Jack likes his Bumbo as much as I do! His legs are so big they barely fit in it.
The girls are starting to like their dress up a little more. As you can see, Ella doesn't quite have the hang of it. I really don't let her walk around naked all the time. Especially when it's so cold out!
Taylor has her first VERY loose tooth. It won't be much longer before it will be out. It won't be long before we hit the ugly stage - something Micah doesn't know much about:)
Jack's not too sure about his Johnny Jumper either. He WILL like it though! I'm going to make him!

The kids all played really well together. It made me remember being little and going to Grandma's house.

All the kids love Dad. They love him to hold them.

This was our second Christmas of the day. The girls, of course, were very excited!! Jared and Stephen were pretty excited too.
Ella got a new "haus" backpack that she had to have on immediately.
As you can see from the next two pictures, the earmuffs were a big hit.

Our First Christmas

This was our first Christmas Morning at our house with just our family. It was a lot of fun. It was exciting to see the girls opening their gifts. Taylor said, "My tummy is exciting."
Both the girls were excited to see what each other got.
Ella loves to try on new clothes. As soon as she opened them, she put them on - just like my Dad. Hopefully you can see that I didn't help dress her.
Judging from this picture, who do you think is most excited?
And then there's Jack. He'll probably see this picture some day and ask why he didn't get any presents and why we love the girls more than him!

Isaiah came over to our house while Christi was in town for the holidays. The girls loved it because they got to play outside!! Now that it's colder out, I don't go out very often, so they like it when we have company!

Jack had a doctor's appointment today. He weighs 11 pounds 2 ounces. And to think I was wondering if he was gaining weight!! That's more than two pounds in two weeks:)

The kids had a great time. This was Thanksgiving Day. On Friday, Hannah showed up with her 3 kids. We had a house full, but the kids really did well together.
My sister Christi from Florida called on Thursday morning and said she and her boys were on their way up. That was quite a surprise. We had a great time being with them.
